Civwest is proud to have helped Seymour Whyte to win the circa $50M contract to upgrade the Chandler Highway in Melbourne. The project includes a new 6-lane bridge over the Yarra River to compliment the existing heritage bridge - originally a rail bridge built by Sir John Monash in 1891. The Highway will be upgraded to six lanes for its entire length and the existing bridge converted to a pedestrian walkway.
